I was privileged enough to have been offered an opportunity to attend a public lecture on Global Recovery by one of the prominent economist cum activist.
It was held at the Securities Commission, Malaysia. Frankly speaking, i could not be bothered about what global crisis or its struggle towards recovery, but it was more about surrounding myself with these positive people. Personally, i have lost faith in economics in general, because it appears that none of the decision in practise is based on whats equitable or efficient. So, why bothers learning about all these when the awful truth is, IT DOESNT MATTER?
Enough about what i think.. all in all it was nice seeing some Malaysian who made it big on the international stage. I kid you not, this guy is a someone that can rock the world, so whatever his claims may be, i'd take his words. So, if i can share one thing with you now, it would be: THE CRISIS ISNT OVER JUST YET.
So whatever that means, people like you and me would have to be more prepared.
Simply put, no debt.. no personal loan to buy car.. no fancy home just yet.. no (fancy) loafers.. . damn!
