demolition? so does with the rest of history. .

i heard that the PUDU prison, which has a 100 years of history is going down tonight. its funny, when i think about this. Ive seen that place, walked passed by the building, its huge, it looks really old, and its hard not to notice it, but i havent even paused for a moment to truly appreciate the beauty and the stories that goes behind bars. But now that im more than 300km's away from there, i guess its just really impossible to have a look at it for the last time, considering that its going down in just a few hours. Well, i guess THATS WHAT WE ALL ARE.

Sometimes life is moving too fast, and we tend to overlook certain things. WE JUST DONT KNOW WHAT WE HAVE GOT, UNTIL WE LOSE IT. So, just as the whole building gets demolished tonight, it is going down with a lot of my childhood memory. Nvm all the British colonial history and the ghost stories in there, im talking about personal experience here.

5 years in high school, and another 5 years later, i lost track of how many times i walked down the road, reading all these murals with "death-notes". It gives me shiver sometimes, but the fear is positive (at least to me) and more importantly it serves as a reminder for me to stay on the righteous path. I love walking, the longer the better. Its like a time-out for me, and my mind would go beyond many things and i get to think a lot of stuffs as i walk. Its therapeutic, i may say. So, the walking experience from monorail Hang Tuah to Berjaya Times Square, sometimes sungei wang plaza and now pavilion will never be the same again. I HATE the fact that, there is no reminder for me anymore, and i also hate the fact that Malaysian is going too modern, turning herself into a a complete stranger to me. It seems to me that we are losing our own identity. You tell me, which country in this world has an abandoned prison with a unique sense of architecture, IN THE HEART OF ITS MAIN CITY? Just,KL, yes, the one and only, KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA. THIS IS A TESTIMONY TO PEOPLE OUT THERE, JUST HOW FAR WE'VE COME IN TERMS OF DEVELOPMENT AND WE DO NOT ONLY KNOW WHERE WE ARE GOING, BUT WE ALSO KNOW WHERE WE HAVE BEEN. If only those people responsible for its so-called development understand this.

and who says modern life does not mix with old structure? You see a lot of them in Japan, why cant we do the same? NEVER TURN OUR BACK FROM WHAT WE ALREADY HAVE, EMBRACE IT INSTEAD.

But then again, who am i to elaborate more? Im just one small voter who doesnt have any power to influence those higher ups. I dont have money to help them run their political campaigns, and i certainly dont have influence over their decision. Nonetheless, considering that im a little old-fashioned..and i like to see classic, vintage architecture, so i may be biased.
ALL I KNOW IS, I LOVE MALAYSIA - i just dont quite like the people. IF WE CANT BE OURSELVES IN UR OWN COUNTRY, I DONT KNOW WHERE ELSE TO GO.

  1. what can i say, we are lacking of leaders with credibility and creativity. Instead, they are good at manipulating things and spending money for their good!

Well said dear. There is no second penjara pudu. Why they do not use their brains to change the prison into smthng dat is profitable. Like street mall or at lis museum or activity center.

No point arguing more rite? But i bet 10 or 20 yrs from now the new leader will always remember the really bad decision making made by their past leaders..

  2. hi there, miss orkid. Indeed, we are lacking of true credible leaders. Thats what happened when the circle of high-powered figures come from "elitists" family. They never had a taste of hardship.

yeah, i could not agree more. THAT WAS JUST ONE, REALLY BAD DECISION. ONE BAD DECISION THAT COULD COST THEM THE NEXT GENERAL ELECTION. that would be interesting to see, no?
